What people actually want back from Sora
We read the Sora migration threads on Reddit before writing this. Three things come up far more than "which model is best".
Free-to-try and a remix feed
Sora's app let you remix someone else's clip and post the result without paying first. Most alternatives are subscription-first; the feeds that exist (Higgsfield, Pollo) are gated. If the social loop is what you miss, no alternative replaces it one-to-one — you will be posting to TikTok or Instagram instead.
Put myself in the video with commercial rights

Veo 3.1 if you already pay for Google AI Pro; Kling 3.0 with sound if you want to buy per second. Both produce native audio that Sora 2 was praised for.
I animated my own photos
